Tonight I drove my 2002 Camaro SS that I bought new when I turned 18. She has 94,000 miles, over a dozen 12 second 1/4 mile passes, and running the camshaft specified by the ASA dirt track late model series. It has a 110 degree centerline with .525 lift and 246 duration:

What would you listen too while driving?

My playlist for the SS is as follows:

What would you play in your first car?

When your car is so loud the microphone distorts its sound...

The car is louder than my 500 watt dual voice coil 8" JL Audio....I love my audio when the exhaust is closed, but she is meaner when open

I would have been so disappointed if The CULT wasn’t in there!

You already have Fire Woman so..

A little AC/DC

Maybe some George Thorogood

Maybe some Metallica..

Maybe even some “Slim Shady”

I don’t have a cutlass, but I do have a 1991 Roadmaster Station Wagon. Big Buick with 7 acres of leather. It has late model JVC with alpine 6x9 speakers in all 4 doors

Our local dealer wouldn’t order any SLP cars with CME. Dave Hamburger, the CEO of SLP sometimes had a hard time dealing with the old school southern Chevy dealers. We southern boys protect our own in a group that runs form Key West to Richmond. #ConfederateChevys #IhearBanjos #SuwaneeMusicFest

Mine started life as a TX car, has 54k on it. CME, Black wing lid, and Hurst shifter. Still all bone stock.

It has the original 305, with a camshaft from a 1996 Corvette LT1. I also bought a stock torque converter for the V6 powered S10 Blazer, and it was a $70 high ratio converter that is $300 cheaper than an aftermarket one. If you want to build a sleeper on a budget, go to http://tbichips.com/

I have a 3200 rpm billet torque from Fuddle Racing. It was built for the brutal low end torque of the ASA cam shaft. I kept the stock 3.23 gears in the differential so I can be over 120 mph in no time. Does anyone on here run a 3.73 or higher differential on the street anymore?

Is your car a T56 or Automatic?

My 2004 CTS-V is T56 and I love that gearbox

Brian Johnson of Ac/Dc lives an hour south of me, down in Sarasota. In his mansion is the largest collection of Pre-WW2 Bentleys of all time....He will show up to bars around town in a 38 Bentley and walk in like a boss.....

Dude, I love that exhaust so much. Before I got this car I tried to find it for my other 4th gen but its been out of production for a while.

Its the same muffler, but I keep the stainless tips polished. My Cut-out is just in front of the rear axle. I am making a bolt-on extension for a boom-tube in front of the rear tire

This will come in handy when I strap an eBay turbo to a C1500 to create the TTBI.

It being a 2002 Camaro and all, I think you need a ton of Limp Bizkit, Saliva, POD, etc

Its a T56, both of my Camaros are manuals. I freaking love that transmission. I also have an 02 TA, that one is auto. 224 cam, yank 3600, 3.23 gears, etc etc.

Ok, since I also have a cammed and stalled car with 3.23...I can’t get any traction. I spin off the line with anything over half throttle. Are you running the stock 10 bolt differential like me?

Im running shitty 315/35-17 Sumitomos, they are awful!! Gonna try something different here very soon. And yes no traction here too. That Yank hits very hard btw, and drives like stock. Stock 10 bolt still.

I actually lost control on a 4 lane highway doing about 45 mph a few weeks ago. Some shitty Honda Civic drifted into my lane, I had to brake really hard to avoid getting hit. I floored it to go around it, at around 45mph btw. It spun out, did a 360, and ended up in the median. Lucklily no damage lol. I parked it untill I buy new tires lol.

This is what I play when it’s time to drive the ‘90 ZR-1.

Windows down, denim jacket on, fingerless driving gloves, polarized Aviators, and hair held high.

Fuck. Yeah.
